was a top contender for quite a few years. By the time he got his shot, he was
way past his prime. Not every excellent fighter is also exciting. Bonavena,
Chuvalo, Machen, Jimmy Young, many others not very exciting. You guys think
Toney is done now? Looks bloated. Have you been talking about "The
Contender"? I've only seen 2 shows, and the kids have all the heart in the
world, but sometimes they seem to stop fighting and free-style almost as if
they're acting. You know, the fake Rocky-style haymakers and roundhouse punches.
Could be wrong, but does anyone else think so?Great site! When are you
comin' to live in LA, Massimo? You can hang out at the Hoover Gym with Scrap

and that's bona for (or to) me ! We could send each other appassionate letters

gonna do it ! Why ? Because I have a big heart and I feel sorry for you and for

egg (it's Slang, it means "Non aveva potenza" or "Non era potente") but damn...
HE COULD BOX !!!!I don't know, maybe a 1958 version of Zora Folley would
have given an in prime Ali' some serious trouble ! I think Bonavena's best fight
was his losing effort against Ali'. He fought toe to toe with "The Humblest" for
the entire fight and managed to hurt him in a few occasions ! Oscar was very
aggressive in that fight !|
