ancient Greeks, all the greatMathematicians were white: Archimede, Euclide,
Pitagora...Probably there are historical reasons for that, I don'tknow
exactly how black people lived in Greece at thattime. I just have a
legitimate suspect that, on average, black people have a lower level of
skillfor this activity. But I would be not surprised atall if tomorrow I

Yes, as far as we've gone in space exploration, we have a respectable
understanding of how stars work. I was just responding to the example about
assuming a star was made of peanut butter (when we didn't know its composition),
by stating that in the absence of knowledge or proof, one starts with what's
familiar or obvious, and uses that as home base from which to explore further,
and get to the bottom of something they don't understand.|

Absolutely right. If the schools in the suburbs where I live were a
tenth as bad as the Chicago ghetto schools, there'd be a revolution. There's
also not the same amount of cultural support for education in the slums as in
white suburbia, so it's a lot of factors all feeding off themselves,
perpetuating the vicious cycle of failure.Formal education isn't a
guarantee of intelligence either, not really even the same thing. Using a
