146. M. NOGLO (Togo) :
147. The PRESIDENT:
Was that the last speaker? I give Uruguay the floor.
148. Sr. CASTELLS (Uruguay):
149.1 The PRESIDENT:
Thank you. That was the last speaker of the debate. It has been proposed that this matter be deferred to
another time in which we would continue our deliberations. The possibility suggested to me by the Secretariat of
the General Conference is Friday afternoon. Anyhow, the General Committee will meet on Friday morning and
decide about the continuation of this matter, if you so decide. Could I have a show of hands? Who agrees that this
item be deferred?
149.2 I do not think it is necessary to have a count. I take it that that is agreed. I should like to thank
Mr Marshall. Thank you, Sir.
150. Ms LACOEUILHE (Saint Lucia):
Thank you, Madam President. It is just to say that since we are deferring consideration of the item, could
we please have the full decision as amended translated into all the languages so that we will be able to deal with
the report in the proper way.
151. The PRESIDENT:
That of course I cannot guarantee, but I hope so. I also hope that, whatever our deliberations will be, we
shall remember that the category of staff that we shall be deciding upon should not suffer a loss. But this has been
decided and put to the vote, and now I should like to go back briefly to two items on our agenda.
