You need not really go into it. Thank you for your remarks, but what we shall be commenting on and
approving is the printed report of the Commission as contained in document 30 C/62. The representative of
France has the floor.

Merci, Madame la Présidente. Nous sommes dans l'ensemble très satisfaits du rapport qui vient de nous
être présenté. Toutefois, nous voudrions revenir sur l'intervention très importante de la déléguée de Sainte-Lucie.
En effet, hier matin nous n'étions pas en mesure d'approuver autre chose que les propositions soumises à la
Commission, mais nous avions fait remarquer qu'il faudrait les harmoniser avec ce qui serait décidé dans
l'après-midi dans le cadre de la réunion conjointe des commissions de programme. Je crois qu'effectivement, il
nous faut à présent nous conformer à ce qui a été décidé lors de cette réunion conjointe ainsi que dans les autres
commissions. Par conséquent, ce paragraphe doit être supprimé. Merci, Madame la Présidente.
21. The PRESIDENT:
Indeed, Sir, I hope that the Deputy Director-General for Education and the Chairperson of the
Commission have at hand the recommendation of the Joint Meeting, which will of course be taken into
consideration. It has to be harmonized, as I have already said, so once we actually approve the document, it will
be approved as amended and as harmonized, in accordance with the conclusions of the Joint Meeting. Does that
meet with your approval? Good. Now we have the representative of Qatar, to be followed by Germany.

Merci, Madame la Présidente. A la page 39 de la version arabe, je voudrais que l'on complète le nom du
"Centre arabe pour la formation des formateurs" par les mots "dans les Etats du Golfe". En outre, à la page 3 du
corrigendum, là où il est question de "Doha (Qatar)", je souhaiterais que l'on s'en tienne à la mention du pays. Je
demande que cette correction soit apportée dans toutes les langues. Je pense, par ailleurs, qu'il vaudrait mieux, pour
entendre les avis des représentants des Etats sur ce document, commencer à examiner le document paragraphe par
paragraphe afin de ne pas s'engager dans un débat général. Sinon, il nous faudra beaucoup de temps. Merci,

I am being told that some of the things you have mentioned are dealt with in document 30 C/62 Add.
and Corr. I should like to ask the Chairperson of the Commission whether your remarks can be accommodated. I
do not think that this is an amendment, it is just a correction.

It is indeed a correction.

Yes, it is to be taken as a correction and not as an amendment. It will be corrected, according to your
suggestion. The representative of Germany now has the floor.

Thank you, Madam President. I would just like to be as helpful as possible for the formal adoption
process of this draft report, including the corrigendum and addendum. Since not everybody was present at the
Joint Meeting, I would like to suggest to you the following: that you invite the plenary to adopt the whole report
including the addendum and corrigendum, with the exception of the two proposed resolutions 05100 and 05300,
because they have already been adopted, as amended by the commissions, in the plenary, so as not to run into
divergent decisions for the plenary. Thank you.
