your approval.
14.2 As I do not see any objections, I hereby declare the heads of the delegations of the Member States in the
list which has just been read out by the Chairperson of the Nominations Committee elected Vice-Presidents of the
General Conference by acclamation.

15.1 The PRESIDENT:
Ladies and gentlemen, I now invite you to elect the chairpersons of the commissions. There are five
programme commissions and the Administrative Commission. The Rules of Procedure of the General Conference
stipulate that the committees and commissions shall elect a chairperson, four vice-chairpersons and a rapporteur.
However, in accordance with the recommendation of the ad hoc Working Group on the Structure and Function of
the General Conference, which advocates the adoption in plenary, without convening each of the various
commissions separately, of the proposals of the Nominations Committee with regard to the chairing of those
commissions, we shall now proceed to elect the chairpersons. The commissions will elect the other officers at
their respective first meetings.
15.2 Now we begin with Commission I. Once again I call upon the Chairperson of the Nominations
Committee, Mr Djenno-Okoumba, to present the Committee’s recommendation for the post of Chairperson of
Commission I of the General Conference.

Merci, Madame la Présidente. Le Comité des candidatures a décidé de recommander à l'unanimité
l'élection de Mme Juana Silvera Nuñez, de Cuba, à la présidence de la Commission I. Je vous remercie.
17.1 The PRESIDENT:
Thank you, Mr Chairperson. As there seems to be no objection, I consider this proposal adopted and
declare that Ms J. Silvera Nuñez from Cuba has been elected Chairperson of Commission I. I congratulate
Ms Silvera Nuñez.
17.2 We now turn to Commission II. Again I call upon the Chairperson of the Nominations Committee to
present the Committee’s recommendation for the post of Chairperson of Commission II.

Le Comité des candidatures a décidé de recommander à l'unanimité l'élection de M. Ludovic Stanislas
Molnar (Slovaquie) à la présidence de la Commission II. Je vous remercie.
19.1 The PRESIDENT:
Thank you, Mr Chairperson. As I see no objections, I consider this proposal adopted and declare that
Mr L. Molnar from Slovakia has been elected Chairperson of Commission II. I congratulate Mr Molnar.
19.2 We now turn to Commission III. I call upon the Chairperson of the Nominations Committee to present
the Committee’s recommendation for the post for Chairperson of Commission III.
