Ti-6Al-4V alloys exposed to artificial saliva (pH 6.5) showed no corrosion.<br />

In summary, the R&D to be discussed in this presentation shows the pathway<br />

for an industrial-scale process to produce UNCD-coated dental implants for<br />

commercialization in a foreseeable future (clinical trials in México are currently<br />

being explored).<br />
