DEVELOPMENT OF A HEAT GENERATING SYSTEM, USING BIOGAS<br />

AS FUEL<br />

This research we are develops and evaluates a heat generating system that uses<br />

biogas as fuel, intended for cooking food. The research presents a new anaerobic<br />

fermentation device with a highly durable plastic bioreactor for the generation of<br />

biogas and organic fertilizer. In addition, the production system has filters of oxygen<br />

iron and alkaline substances to reduce the concentration of iron sulfide and carbon<br />

dioxi. The purified biofuel was stored in pressure vessels by means of a compressor<br />

and then was combustion in an ecological gas stove, specially developed to combust<br />

biogas. The evaluation of the system consisted of three main stages: measurement<br />

of gas produced by a flow meter, analysis of the components of the mixture using<br />

a 540 multitec, finally tests of laboratorio were done on the ecological stove as the<br />

water boiling and controlled cooking. This test were used to determine the thermal<br />

efficiency of the device and the cooking time for some typical foods of the study<br />
