The objective of this work is the study and synthesis of TiO2 nanotubes (NTT)
with chitosan grafts, CS (NTT-g-CS) to obtain the NTT, titanium sheets were
polished, cleaned with organic solvents, subjected to a double anodization in an
organic electrolyte and finally tempered at 500 ° C. The sheets obtained
presented a double arrangement of nanotubes and when sonified they
detached NTT membranes in the form of powders. The NTT membranes were
grafted with chitosan in an acidic solution and analyzed by scanning electron
microscopy, infrared spectrometry by Fourier transforms and X-ray diffraction.
Thus, after 45 minutes of anodization, NTT membranes with a very regular
morphology were obtained presenting average values of length, internal
diameter, and wall thicknesses of 900, 75 and 5 nm, respectively, with an anatase
phase mainly, with chemical associations between NTT and CS due to Ti-O-C
bonds. This association TiO2 / CS allows the creation of hybrid materials of
important use in medical treatments
