In this work, we experimentally studied different conditions of quenching of a
nonvibrating magnetic granular systems, under the influence of an oscillating
magnetic field, by reducing the amplitude of the applied field at different rates.
The cell that contains the granular system is tilted, as a consequence, a
concentration gradient is induced by gravity inside the cell. Depending on the
cooling rate, controlled by the amplitude of the magnetic field as a function of
time, we observe the formation of glass- or crystalline-like structures at the
bottom of the cell (concentrated region). Thus, we divided our analysis in three
regions: the concentrated, the semi-concentrated and the diluted ones and, in
the three cases, we studied the temporal evolution of the system. We also
determined the diffusion coefficient, the mean squared displacement, and the
radial distribution function and discuss our results in terms of these quantities.
