PRODUCTION OF GOLD NANOPARTICLES BY YEASTS AND THEIR<br />

ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY<br />

The synthesis of nanoparticles by biological methods has gained importance<br />

because it reduces ecological damage to the environment and / or costs, when<br />

compared to the methods currently used for their production. In this work, two<br />

yeasts were used to produce gold nanoparticles of different morphologies and<br />

their antibacterial activity against E. coli was evaluated.<br />
