CdTe surface was thermally treated in CdCl2 obtaining a blue CdTe surface. Cl
migration along the CdTe solar cell structure, reduce the defects between CdS
and CdTe thin films and show a good recrystallization, helping to the carriers
mobility along the structure and as a consequence the reduction of the CdTe
resistivity. This study was carried out the presence of TeOx on CdTe surface.
Using SIMS profiling of CdTe devices, XPS, SEM-EDS and J-V measurements.
These analyses confirm the presence of Cd, Cl, S and Te on surface and shown
a close correlation between the quality of interfaces and its photovoltaic
efficiency about 12% was determined by employing a solar simulator AAA.
