In the study of metal oxide materials for photocatalysis, one of the materials
that has received great interest is bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3 or BFO). In this work
we present the effect of the hydrothermal synthesis method, microstructural
characteristics that promote its potential application in heterogeneous
photocatalysis,by means of XRD, SEM, elemental mapping (EDS) and reflectance
techniques, that promote its potential application in heterogeneous
photocatalysis, that was determined by testing the Rhodamine-B degradation
reaction under visible radiation conditions, with UV-VIS spectrometry.
