In the development of this project of investigation there was realized the
modification of dioxide of titanium (TiO2) by particles of oxide of copper (CuO)
and silver (Ag). Since predecessor of silver used nitrate of silver (AgNO3), the
mixture of dioxide of titanium and oxide of copper was carried out by means of
the humid impregnation, and the deposition of the silver on the movie was
realized by the method dip coating where to do the fotorreducciòn of the silver
a lamp of UV was used.
Honest E.colis unactivation by means of a photocatalyst of TiO2/CuO/Ag
supported in glass with an initial concentration (1,5x108 UFC/ml) that gave like
proved the best destruction of the microorganism with the movie calcined to
300°C in the hour 5 reducing two logarithmic scales of microorganism, the
evaluation of the photocatalytic activity of this material was realized by means
of the degradation of blue of methylene, where one gave beginning this one
departing an initial concentration of 7 ppm to temperatures of calcination of
250°C, 300°C and 320°C respectively. The best degradation was obtained by the
movie calcined to 250°C since it reduced about 6 ppm in only 50 minutes.
The catalyst obtained of TiO2/CuO/Ag was characterized morphologically by
means of the analysis SEM where one presented uniformity in the deposition of
the catalyst in the surface of the substratum, and structurally for the detector of
X-rays of dispersion of energies EDS. Later there decided the life cycle of these
movies, evaluating the time of use of the same ones.
