TEORETICAL STUDY OF BARRIER SOLAR CELLS EFFICIENCY<br />

Using the ideal model of a junction solar cell, a theoretical study of the maximum<br />

efficiency is made. The barrier solar cell structure is compouse CdSe type n<br />

semiconductor which it has a 1.73 eV of band gap, this semiconductor is used<br />

with gold contacts to form a Schottky barrier junction. This assumption let a<br />

reduction equation solar cell. A I-V plot give the parameters of the cell are<br />

obtained giving efficiencies of around 5%<br />
