In this work presents the results of the controlled synthesis of titanium dioxide
nanofibers using the technique of electrospinning with two different molecular
precursors (titanium isopropoxide and titanium tetrabutoxide). The quality and
crystal structure of the synthesized nanofibers were controlled by a calcination
process at 450°C, obtaining the anatase crystalline phase. For a working distance
of 5 cm, continuous and homogeneous fibers with an average diameter of 89
nm were obtained for both precursors. The surface morphology obtained by
SEM shows that there is no apparent variation in the formation of the
electrospun fibers. However, by Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction
found that better structural properties of the obtained fibers are favored using
titanium tetrabutoxide: better quality in the anatase crystalline phase.
