In this investigation, the growth of composite films on the surface of 5 graphite
electrodes was performed, forming polypropylene / multi-walled carbon
nanotube films functionalized with NH2 (PPY / MWCNT-NH2), these samples
differ in the amount of nanotubes of employed carbon (2 mg, 4 mg, 6 mg without
and with stirring, 8 mg with stirring), when the amount of 6 mg was increased to
8 mg the electrolyte solution became so dense that it became necessary to
stirring it to facilitate electrodeposition, These samples were electropolymerized
by means of cyclic voltammetry, in a three-electrode cell (Ag / AgCl 3M reference
electrode, graphite auxiliary electrode and 98% pure graphite electrode (EG)),
the electrodes obtained were named PPy / MWCNT-NH2 / EG. To do this,
morphology studies were carried out using scanning electron microscopy (SEM),
chemical and structural characterization using confocal Raman spectroscopy,
electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIE) and Mott Schottky (MS),
electrodes were identified (PPy / MWCNTs- NH2) with specific properties, such
as sensitivity, electrochemical stability and electrode specificity for an
application as a biosensor.
