In this work, a study of photocurrent induced transients spectroscopy is
obtained theoretically and a regularization method is put to the test to obtain
the characteristics of deep levels in highly resistive
semiconductors. Photocurrent induced transients spectroscopy (PICTS),
current-photo curves that change with respect to temperature are obtained. By
processing these curves, thermal relaxation times are obtained through the
relaxation spectrum. The regularization method is implemented through
Matlab, which consists of a mapping of a continuous integral to a discrete
integral through the regularization method known as the Tikhonov
regularization method. This method has the advantage of offering greater
resolution with respect to commercial double gate techniques the operation of
the method is demonstrated theoretically for curves of high resistivity of CdTe.
