The ZnO nanocrystals have its potential applications due to the increase of the
ratio surface-volume, in technologies such as the improvement of response
time of gas sensors, as reducers of operating temperatures and for increase the
sensitivity of ZnO used in nanoparticle form. This research compares the
morphology and structure of nanoparticles of ZnO obtained by different
processes of chemical synthesis. Aqueous synthesis routes were the Sol-gel and
the forced hydrolysis, which were carried out using organic precursors of zinc
acetate, monoethanolamine and isopropyl alcohol, in acidic and basic pH
respectively. On the other hand, the method of synthesis of powders used was
the mechanochemistry, where inorganic precursors such as ZnCl2, NaCl and
NACO3 were used for the obtaining of ZnO. Zinc oxide powders thus obtained,
were analyzed by HRTEM, finding that ZnO nanoparticles vary in size from 200
to 50 nm with nanocrystals of sizes less than 20 nm. With X-Ray diffraction
patterns were indexed plans 101, 100,102 y110 for hexagonal wurtiza.
