EVALUATION OF THE HOMOGENEITY OF POLYMER HYDROGELS<br />

Polymer hydrogels containing different amounts of solvent during their<br />

synthesis were obtained and characterized by swell index, TGA, and reometry to<br />

determine by mathematical models and experimental data their homogeneity<br />

the values of their mean molecular weight of chains between entanglements,<br />

based on Flory Rehner equations and Peppas modifications. These models were<br />

tested according to the characteristics of the hydrogels synthesized.<br />
