Olefins are considered to be key components of the chemical industry. The
leading role is played by the lower alkanes - ethylene and propylene, whose
annual production is about 1.5×10 8 and 8×10 7 tons, respectively. Olefins are
used as raw materials for the production of polypropylene, phenol, acetone,
alcohols, varnishes, solvents and other products of targeted use in various
branches of the national economy, as well as intermediates for the synthesis of
other substances. The paper presents data on the development of methods for
the preparation of catalysts based on the 12 th series heteropolyacids -
H 3 PW 12 O 40 , H 4 SiW 12 O 40 supported on natural and synthetic carriers. The method
of catalyst preparation has been previously developed in the laboratory of
oxidative catalysis of JSC D.V. Sokolsky Institute of Organic Catalysis and
Electrochemistry. On the example of 5-15% catalysts based on H 4 SiW 12 O 40 and
its salts on aluminosilicate was established the formation of C 2 H 6 , C 2 H 4 , CO 2 , H 2 ,
the ratio of which was determined by temperature of reaction in oxidative
dimerization of methane. The ratio C 2 H 4 :C 2 H 6 in products increased toward the
formation of C 2 H 4 with increasing temperature and transition high-percentage
to low-percentage catalysts. 5% H 4 SiW 12 O 40 /AlSi (S C2H4 = 51.5%, S C2-HC = 80.0%)
and 15% H 3 PW 12 O 40 /AlSi (S C2H4 = 39.2%, S C2-HC = 60.2%) catalysts had a maximum
selectivity by C 2 -hydrocarbons. CaAZ, CaX, minerals containing MgO, SiO 2 and
NaA can be recommended as a carrier.
