This work aims to develop more efficient catalysts in the HDS reaction due to
the importance of obtaining hydrocarbons with lower sulfur content that comply
with the new environmental standards, Based on previous studies in the use of
mesoporous silica materials, trimetallic catalysts (Co-Mo-W) supported
on hierarchical porous silica were synthesized, P-modified, characterized and
tested in hydrodesulfurization reaction (HDS) of a typical molecule:
dibenzothiophene (DBT). Synthesized materials were characterized by Physicochemical
techniques such as: DRX, Micro Raman, HRSEM, EDS, S BET , DRS-(UV-VIS)
in order to determine their suitability for HDS reaction. It have been seen that
the physico-chemical characteristics and textural properties of the obtained
materials promote the diffusion processes and allow a better performance than
conventional catalysts.
