– Decide whether the planned tables will present quantitative data or qualitative characte-
ristics.
– Ensure that the images are understandable in regard to simplicity, structure, stimulation
and relation to the text.
– Refer to figures in the text and comment them sufficiently.
– Explain all the symbols, signs and abbreviations used in the images.
– Give sequential numbers to the figures in the text, and provide each figure with a title.
– Correctly refer to the sources for each figure which you have not developed yourself.
– Mark the figures in a consistent way.
2.13 STRUCTURE THE TEXT
– Explain your understanding of professional words which can be defined differently in the
literature, and avoid less-common words.
– Use foreign words with their correct meaning. Avoid trendy words and slang.
– Favor the active tense. Avoid abstract nouns, use adjectives sparingly.
– Communicate to the reader through the concise titles the contextual organization of the
work, both in the text and the typography, with larger spacing and different fonts.
– Form understandable sentences with a maximum of 25 words per sentence, about 9
words per clause in the sentence, a main sentence with a maximum of two clauses.
– Ensure that the text is understandable through

– classification and order,
– brevity and conciseness,
– additional stimulation.
Note: Assess adherence to these recommendations by drafting the text sequentially, not simultaneously.
2.14 PRODUCE THE MANUSCRIPT
– Try to write the rough version in one go.
– Don't take too much time to search for 'just the right formulation.' Turn off your internal
critic for this stage.
– When writing, always think of the reader. Make it understandable, traceable and respect
the reader's time constraints.
– Try to maintain an uniform structure in the presentation of statements in the individual
sections and chapters.
– Check in the first draft:
– the choice of words and sentence structure, as well as
– adherence to scientific standards.
