– Avoid suggestive and provocative questions!
»Don't you also agree?« Such questions, as a rule, do not gather factual information.
They rather make the subject insecure, and can provoke him to answer the questions in a
tactical way.
– Use pauses!
The interviewer should avoid pushing or asking embarrassing questions. The subject needs
time in order to be ready to give information. This time must be provided to him.
– Data preparation
Each interview is composed of a number of competing interpretations. Meyer (2008, p. 48
and following) in relation to preparation of other authors, there is a six-step procedure
to assess text. Thus a relatively secure presentation and interpretation of the results can
be achieved.
4.3 WRITTEN QUESTIONNAIRE
Procedure
The procedure of written surveys in research work is presented in Fig. 5.
For example, the topic of »Effects of Customer Satisfaction on X Business« is shown in Fig. 5
in the topic-carrying terms, and illustrated. Thus, for example, the »personal« dimension is de-
termined with indicators, and relevant questions are formulated as well as the answer formats,
including the coding of answers.
