2.1.2.1 PROJECT ORGANIZATION CHART
The project teams are built according to an organizational structure, presented in Fig. 7. Every
project team needs a decision-making committee, which is staffed with people from the client and
contractor sides. Members are management representatives and project managers from the client
and contractor. The members are chosen by project managers from the client and contractor sides,
and agreements are reached. The project manager in internal projects is one person.
The project managers establish a joint core team composed of the most important actors in the
starting phases of the project. This team takes over the task of implementing the project start. As
a rule, the project managers and section project managers as well as, in individual cases, project
members who are particularly important to the tasks of the project belong to the core team.
Due to the substantive requirements of the project and subprojects, the proposed project team
members establish a first professional statement of conditions as well as the necessary training
requirements.

Project organization works as presented here when the organizational structure is filled in with the
appropriate names (Fig. 8). The named employees are given their roles by the project manager
(tasks and areas of responsibility). The client's and contractor's managers approve the project
organization.
