The first project phase plan can now be developed on a step-by-step basis with milestones
(Fig. 12). A milestone is set at the end of each phase which can be roughly terminated. In any
case, exact deadlines must be presented for the project start and project end.
Further milestones can be defined for important events, such as construction permission or deliv-
ery of a new software release, even within a phase.
