Till the date (i.e. 01.05.2005) we have trained about 3000 Staff/Officers of the Undertaking.

We also organise Civil Defence ‘Mock-Drill’ Exercise with the assistance of Civil Defence
Organization in order to create general awareness amongst the employees of the Undertaking.
These various courses are conducted for the benefit and to create general awareness amongst
the officers / staff of various department viz Traffic, Engineering, Electric Supply and other
administrative departments of the Undertaking. The officers and staff of Security & Vigilance Dept.
are also deputed to Civil Defence Staff College to undergo training in Fire Fighting and Instructor
courses.
III) Civil Defence Control Room Exercise is held on 1 st Sunday of every month at Regional Civil
Defence Control Centre. (RCDCC), Old Secretariat Annex, M.G. Road, Opp Museum. Being
Vital Installation, the representative of Electric Supply and Traffic Department are deputed to
attend the same.
IV) Regular meetings of all the Executive Controllers/ Representatives of vital installations, Civil
Defence Unit is being arranged by the Addl Controller of Civil Defence at Civil Defence Staff
College and is being attended regularly by us.
V) As per the advice of Civil Defence Authority, every year on 1 st March, we celebrate ‘World Civil Defence
Day’ in the BEST Undertaking and take rededication oath. In order to celebrate, World Civil Defence Day,
the banners / posters of Civil Defence are displayed at our Bus Depots/ Workshops and other premises of
the Undertaking to make publicity and create general awareness among the officers/ staff of the
Undertaking.
