notice that they will required to work for a period of seven days or
more, they will not be entitled for meal allowance for any such
days, but if they have to work for less than 7 days, they will be
entitled for meal allowance for the first three working days
irrespective of whether notice is given or not.
Meal allowance is also admissible to the members of
the staff when they are required to work overtime for
more than consecutive 5 hours before or after their
normal duty hours. However, if 3 hours overtime is
worked in the morning hours & 2 hours in the evening,
no meal allowance is admissible.
No meal allowance is payable for working on a Holiday
or Sunday. But in case the staff works for more than 5
hours above normal duty hours, then meal as stated
above is admissible. Like wise, meal allowance is not
payable for working on a Saturday, except in case
when the staff works beyond one hour extra than his
normal duty hours.
13 Machine Allowance As attached to the post & summary
statement received from the Head of
Dept.
13 Washing
Allowance
As applicable to the post @ R. 40/- or
Rs.25/- on receipt of advice from
respective Heads of Departments. In case
the employee remains on leave/ absent for
more than 30 days he is not eligible for
W.A. of that period.
Staff invalidated from the service of the Undertaking will be
eligible for payment of Washing Allowance during the notice
period (Instruction No. 33-STK/1033/674/92 dated 20/7/92).
Washing Allowance paid to the Traffic Officers have been
discontinued w.e.f.15/1/2001 as the Management has exempted
them from wearing uniform in terms of note no.

14 Subsistence

An employee for the period he is on
suspension pending enquiry is entitled to
subsistence allowance as per S.O. 25 at
the rates given below-
