having done so with a copy of the letter addressed to the Assessor &
Collector of Municipal Taxes.
The payment of Motor Vehicles Tax in respect of each bus is calculated,
as the case may be, as indicated in Statements I and II reproduced
earlier.
5.3.4 ADVERTISEMENT BILLS IN RESPECT OF
ADVERTISEMENTS IN DAILY NEWSPAPERS :
Advertisements as required under Section 460 of the M.M.C. Act and
also other advertisements approved by the General Manager are
published in newspapers approved by the Committee. All
advertisements of the Undertaking are to be published only in these
approved newspapers. The rates for publication are the rates
applicable to the public at the prescribed rates. The schedule of rates
may be based on the unit of space or the number of words in different
classifications of advertisements. The clerk auditing these bills is
required to ensure
i) that each advertisement is entered in the advertisement register
on receipt of copies of letters to various newspapers sent to
Audit;
ii) that sanction of the competent authority was obtained for
advertising in approved newspapers;
iii) that the unit of payment viz. space or words is measured or
counted respectively from the cutting of the actual

advertisement pasted on approved forms duly certified by the
Public Relations Department;
that the correctness of the amounts certified and also that the
bill has been duly signed and certified by the authorities
required to do so.
5.3.5 REIMBURSEMENT OF RESIDENTIAL TELEPHONE
