SENIOR SURVEYOR – (Grade P1/T7)
He shall be responsible to the Deputy Superintendent (Estate) / Deputy
Engineer (Estate) and Estate Officer as the case may be and his duties and
responsibilities are as follows:

1) To carry out survey of lands by using various survey instruments, plot
the surveyed land on the drawing and work out the areas of respective
lands.
2) To attend to the instructions received from the CEC / Deputy
Superintendent (Estate) about contract with officials of Brihan Mumbai
Mahanagarpalika, Collector’s Office, Bombay Port Trust, Private Parties
etc. in connection with the acquisition of lands and to carry out joint
inspection / joint survey of lands.
3) To identify / verify the Undertaking’s existing properties for the purpose
of certifying the Municipal Property Tax Bills in respect of undeveloped
plots, lease rents, Non-Agriculture Assessment cases and other Land
Revenues, Town Planning Scheme contributions, etc. and verify
‘Statement of Vacancy and continued vacancy of the Undertaking’s
properties required for refund / rebates in Municipal Property Taxes.
4) To get the lands acquired / purchased lands transferred on Municipal
and Government records in the name of the Undertaking.
5) To initiate and follow up grant of Non-agricultural users and N A
assessments.
6) To take over or hand over lands and / or built up premises as a
representative of the Undertaking when required.
