iii) Whenever, indent for non-stock item (Purchase form)
is received, the same in scrutinised for availability of
material under different code as stock item and in case
of availability, the same is returned back to the
department.
iv) After placement of order, if stocks do not move for
more than one year, the same is reported as non-
moving item & referred to department.
v) Regular scrutiny of High inventory items and
staggering of deliveries.
14. VENDOR DEVELOPMENT AND REGISTRATION OF FIRMS
The new Tenderers/Manufacturers are issued ‘Credential
Forms’ along with the tender documents. Whenever the quoted rates of
new Tenderers stand lower than the lowest ‘Regular’ supplier, their
offers are recommended subject to satisfactory factory Inspection
Report. Their factories are visited by the Engineering Dept. and
Materials Management Department officers to assess their capabilities.
The firms are registered with the Undertaking after satisfactory
execution of 3-5 orders in different categories by obtaining Permanent
Security Deposit.
14.1 The Registered suppliers get following benefits for
making payments towards Earnest Money Deposit (EMD).
