II - DUTIES (specific)
v) keep himself posted about the problems and needs of each
Zone/Division and shall guide and direct the Officers concerned.
vi) keep in close touch with various Heads of Depts. with a view to
securing their fullest co-operation in ensuring the protection and
security of Undertaking's properties.
These are divided under following heads.
1. Security and Safety of cash.
2. Security and Safety of Arms & Ammunition.
3. Fire prevention, Fire Protection, Fire Fighting and Civil
Defence.
4. Security Measures.
5. Maintenance of Law & Order.
6. Vigilance.
7. Assistance to other departments.
8. Adminstration.
1. Security and Safety of Cash:
He shall:
A Take all such Security measures which are necessary to ensure
security and safety of cash. To that end he shall
i) Draw up the rota of ArmedGuards for duty at
a) Cash Departments (Colaba & Dadar)
b) Central Cash Room (Wadala)
c) Ticket & Cash Departments.
d) On cash vans for guarding cash in transit.
ii) Detail Police escorts for Cash vans.
iii) detail Officers to escort cash in transit to/from Banks and as and when
required.
iv) inspect Cash vans for ensuring that they satisfy the Security norms and are
worthy of transporting cash.
v) inspect Cash Depts., Ticket & Cash Depts., Central Cash Room and Cash
Collection Centers to confirm that guidelines provided by the CSO are
adhered to by the departments handling cash and if necessary suggest methods
to further strengthen the Security measures.
