continue to occupy the flats in the Undertaking’s
Officers’ Quarters for a maximum period of one
month. Such ex-officers will have to pay 3 times the
rent last paid by them for occupation of such flats.
(c) In case of demise/invalidation of an Officer whilst in
the services of the Undertaking, his family members
/ officer may be permitted by the General Manager
at his sole discretion to continue to occupy the flat
in the Undertaking’s Officers’ Quarters for a period
not exceeding one year from the date of death /
invalidation of the Officer. The family
members/officer will have to pay monthly
compensation at the same rate as the officer was
paying at the time of his death / invalidation.
If the retired / separated officers/their family members, on expiry of
the permission granted to them by the General Manager fail to vacate
the flats, it will be treated as unauthorized occupation and eviction
proceedings will be initiated against them. During the period of
unauthorized occupation, rent will be recovered from their final dues
as under:-
(i) For the first 3 months of unauthorized occupation, per
month @ double the amount of rent charged per month
during authorized / permitted occupation after
separation.
(ii) After 3 months of unauthorized occupation, i.e. after 6
months of separation, a rent of Rs.3,000/- per month or
the rent worked out as per Clause (i) above whichever is
more will be charged.
6.8.2.2 Rent to be recovered in respect of shops or for any other premises
let out:
Under Section 460 Q(b) the G.M. is empowered to grant a lease of any
immovable property belonging to the Undertaking for any period not
exceeding 12 months at a time provided, however, every lease granted
by the G.M. (other than on contract for a monthly tenancy) the annual
rent of which exceeds Rs.3,000/-, the same is reported to the
Committee within 15 days.
