iii) Being cost of purchase of house to the extent of cost of such
expenditure or 36 months’ wages + DA or 100% of his own
subscription + interest to his credit, whichever is less.
iv) For purchase of site for building one’s own house to the extent of
such cost of 24 months’ pay + DA or 100% of the amount of his
subscription + interest standing to his credit, whichever is less.
v) For purchasing a flat on ownership basis in a registered cooperative
society – to the extent of such cost of expenditure or 36
months’ pay _ DA or 100% of the amount of his subscription +
interest standing to his credit and 100% Undertaking contribution
+ interest whichever is less.
vi) For meeting medical expenses incurred due to hospitalisation for
treatment for wasting diseases or for major surgical expenses
incurred either in regard to himself or to his dependents to the
extent of actual cost of 6 months’ basic salary + DA or 100%
subscription whichever is less.
vii) For meeting expenses towards post SSC studies of his own
children and on account of his/her marriage as well as marriage
of his/her son, daughter, sister or brother to the extent of 50% of
his own contribution + interest thereon, subject to condition that
not more than three occasions on account of both instances.
viii) For any other reason to the extent permitted by the Regional
Provident Fund Commissioner from time to time, such as for
payment of insurance premiums etc.
5.4.2.1 PROCEDURE IN THE UNDERTAKING
How payment is initiated in respect of each of the above is indicated
hereunder ad seriatim.
i) For repairs of own house: An application is received with a
certificate from the Village Patel, Sarpanch or such other
authority certifying that the applicant is the sole owner of the
house reported to be in need of repairs for which the expected
expenditure is for a certain amount. The certificate must be
certified by the Mamlatdar or Tahsilar, Block Development
Officer or other higher or equivalent authority. The OSPF when
in doubt, or as a matter of course, at his discretion, may write to
the authority requesting confirmation that the document
presented is authentic. On confirmation, the bill is prepared,
entries made on the ledger folios, and the bill and ledger folio
sent to Audit for verification and then released along with
computerized sheet.
