Medical Department has on its establishment 2 Dy. CMOs for the convenience
of staff members, one Dy.CMO(Sub) is available at Kingsway Depot for suburban
depots and another Dy.CMO(City) is available at Colaba for city Zone depots.
1) Recommendation of leave under S.R.4.4.10 to employee patients.
2) Certification of genuineness of sickness in the cases of members of staff of
the Undertaking requesting grant of special leave on half pay and / or leave without pay.
3) Certification of genuineness of sickness in cases of members of staff of the
Undertaking requesting grant of L T A.
To attend Labour / Industrial Court whenever required.
4) Supervision of attendance / punctuality of doctors & submit their reports to
CMO in writing once in a month.
5) Periodical visit to respective dispensaries.
6) Examination of injury on duty cases upto 4 weeks and to assess their period
of disablement and the percentage of disablement etc.
7) Examination and certification in cases of employees injured on duty for a
period from 15 to 30 days and if found fit, issue fitness certificate for resumption of duties.
8) To scrutinize and discuss claims for reimbursement of medical expenses
incurred by employee patients for themselves and their family members as per Adm.Order
No.291 of 26.02.2001.
9) Beside this Dy.CMOs looks after cases those comes under S.R.4.4.10 as per
the rules laid down in our Service Regulation.
Extra ordinary leave and concession to the members of staff suffering from
Tuberculosis and specified wasting diseases.
As per the service regulatioI1 the employees suffering from diseases
covered under S.R.4.4.10. recommend the leave and treatment of Government/BMC or
our dispensaries. These employees are entitled for the benefits of extra ordinary leave
