Other departments, who are authorized to receive payments, pass receipts
for the same and enter them in the Departmental Remittance Slips. The
amount as per Remittance Slip is deposited in the Cash Department. The
Cash Clerk receiving the amount, acknowledges the same on
the Remittance Slip. In terms of Circular No. TAA/8114/50-51 dtd.
21.7.1950, all departments have been instructed to remit amounts
collected to the Cash Department not later than 3 p.m. on the day of
following the date of collection.
Usual nature of amounts received by Cash Department and other
departments is:-
1) Advertisement receipts for display on shelters, kiosks, on the
Undertaking’s buses, bus queue shelters, kiosks on electric poles,
hoardings, bus tickets, etc.
2) Sales value realized from disposal of movable properties, scrap /
obsolete material.
3) Earnest Money Deposits, Security Deposits, Consumers Deposits,
DEA Hire Deposits, Outward Bill Deposits, Staff and Officers’
Quarters Deposits, Bus Reservation Deposits, etc.
4) Charges of ground rent for late lifting of scrap material.
5) Hire charges from hirers of domestic electric appliances such as
refrigerators, water heaters etc. and repair charges for work done in
the DEA Workshop;
6) Receipts against Electric Supply Bills.
7) Compensation receipted from outside parties for damages to the
Undertaking’s movable and immovable properties.
8) Apprentice premiums receipts of Transportation Engg. Department.
9) Bus Conductors’ and Drivers’ Deposits and Trainee Conductors’
Deposits.
10) Charges for repairs to meters damaged while on installation, testing
charges.
