ABSTRACT :Notwithstanding the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law No.
9,394 / 96, as amended by Articles 26 and 79 of Law No. 10,639 / 03, to ensure
education aimed at the education of ethnic-racial relations, through the mandatory
inclusion in the curriculum of the "History and Afro-Brazilian Culture", we observed
that in the daily school life some teachers, if not most, still have a fragile theoretical and
methodological basis for working with their specific contents. On the basis of this
understanding, this essay, prompted by the invitation to participate in a Thematic Table
entitled The education of ethnic-racial relations and the teaching work in children's
education based on the use of digital technologies, is organized around the objective of
reflecting about the challenge that teacher training processes have to face in order to
promote paradigm review and offer theoretical and methodological foundation for the
development of an antiracist education and contributor to the valorization of black
identity and culture, from Early Childhood Education. As a conclusive synthesis, it
reiterates the relevance of the updating of teaching work in relation to educational
technology, given its possibilities in the treatment of themes focused on a pedagogy to
combat racism, both for use in pedagogical spaces with small children and for
expansion of the repertoire knowledge in initial and / or continuing training.
