An instance of this MO (REM-OFF) is associated with every Remote Office box that is<br />

administered on the switch. This MO monitors keep-alive and periodic PING test failures.<br />

a. Error Type 1: a PING test to the Remote Office has failed and a MINOR alarm has been<br />

raised. When this error is logged, as many as 26 endpoints associated with that Remote<br />

Office and several H.323 signaling groups could be out of service.<br />

b. Error Type 257: The response to a keep-alive update request exceeded the time limit for an<br />

endpoint. The error is a log-only error. It is not possible to determine which entity has failed.<br />

The aux data associated with this error indicates whether the endpoint that failed to respond<br />

was a DCP, Analog, or Signaling Group type:<br />

● 1096 = Analog Line<br />

● 1095 = DCP Line<br />
