number of bit errors should be very low. The command also shows the type of loopback/span<br />

test executing (Test field), the type of pattern generated for the loopback/span test (Pattern<br />

field), and whether the pattern (3-in-24 Pattern) is synchronized (Synchronized field).<br />

Enter test ds1-loop location end-loopback/span-test to end the test.<br />

Enter release board location to restore each trunk or port on the DS1 Interface board to<br />

the in-service state.<br />

This test is run on the following maintenance objects:<br />

● DS1-BD (DS1 Interface Circuit Pack)<br />

● MG-DS1 (DS1 Interface Media Module)<br />

● UDS1-BD (UDS1 Interface Circuit Pack)<br />

1. Enter test ds1-loop location<br />

cpe-loopback-jack-test-begin at 1-minute intervals up to 5<br />

times.<br />

1005 ABORT CPE Loopback Jack test cannot be executed in the current configuration.<br />

To run this test, the DS1 board must be administered for 24-channel<br />

operation. The Bit Rate field on the DS1 circuit pack administration<br />

screen must be set to 1.544 for 24-channel operation.<br />

1015 ABORT Ports on the DS1 Interface circuit pack have not been busied out to<br />

out-of-service.<br />

1. Enter busyout board location to put all trunks or ports of the<br />

DS1 Interface circuit pack into the out-of-service state.<br />

2. Retry the command.<br />

1039 ABORT The DS1 Interface circuit pack is providing timing for the system.<br />

Executing this test could cause major system disruption. If the DS1<br />

Interface circuit pack needs to be tested, set the synchronization<br />

reference to another DS1 Interface circuit pack or to the Tone-Clock<br />

circuit with the following command sequence:<br />

1. disable synchronization-switch.<br />

2. set synchronization location.<br />

3. enable synchronization-switch.<br />
