Communication Manager Maintenance Object Repair Procedures<br />

Read the image into memory<br />

Before the firmware can be downloaded to the target stations, the image file must first be read<br />

into Communication Manager memory:<br />

1. On the System Access Terminal (SAT) using the craft login and password, enter<br />

change tftp-server<br />

The TFTP <strong>Server</strong> Configuration form displays the following:<br />

change tftp-server Page 1 of 1<br />

Local Node Name: clan1<br />

TFTP <strong>Server</strong> Node Name: tftpserv1<br />

TFTP <strong>Server</strong> Port: 69<br />

File to Retrieve: 2420v01.bin<br />

File Status:<br />

File Size:<br />

Filename in Memory:<br />

Station Type:<br />

TFTP <strong>Server</strong> Configuration<br />

2. Enter the node name of the C-LAN that connects over the LAN to the FTP file server in the<br />

Local Node Name field.<br />

3. Enter the host name of the FTP file server in the TFTP <strong>Server</strong> Node Name field.<br />

4. Enter the port number in the TFTP <strong>Server</strong> Port field.<br />

5. Enter the name of the File to Retrieve from the FTP file server and submit the command.<br />

6. Enter display tftp-server<br />

TFTP <strong>Server</strong> Port: 69<br />

File to Retrieve: 2420v015.bin<br />

Station Type: 2420<br />

7. Verify the file download was successful by checking the File Status field.<br />
