Cycling Power Supplies<br />

CARR-POW (Carrier Power Supply)<br />

When a port carrier power supply problem is reported by hardware, the system can cycle the<br />

power supplies in that carrier. When a carrier is cycled, the power supplies are turned off for 2<br />

seconds and then turned back on. The system cannot cycle the power supplies on any of the<br />

following types carriers even if they are duplicated:<br />

WARNING: When<br />

● Expansion control carrier<br />

● Switch node carrier<br />

● Single-carrier cabinet<br />

! WARNING:<br />

port carrier power is cycled, all service dependent upon circuit packs in<br />

that carrier is disrupted.<br />
