2 FAIL One power supply failed. This error occurs when the Stratum-3 clock has<br />

two power supplies and one of them has failed. However, the clock can<br />

function with one power supply.<br />

1. Locate the failed power supply (the one with a red LED), and replace<br />

it. The power supplies reside under the Stratum-3 clock’s carrier.<br />

2. To determine whether the alarm still exists, enter test synch r 4<br />

to clear the alarm. If any test repetitions fail, follow the procedures for<br />

those failures.<br />

4 FAIL One clock unit failed.<br />

1. Look at the Stratum-3 cabinet for a red LED on a circuit card marked<br />

“ST3.” Replace the card.<br />

2. To determine whether the alarm still exists, enter test synch r 4<br />

to clear the alarm. If any test repetitions fail, follow the procedures for<br />

those failures.<br />
