Description / Recommendation<br />

1–10 FAIL The circuit pack detects LAPD frame errors. The error code indicates the<br />

value of the error counter.<br />

1. Retry the command at 1-minute intervals up to 5 times.<br />

2. If the test continues to fail, run the Packet Interface test (#598) with<br />

test board location long.<br />

3. If the Packet Interface test (#598) fails, see Packet Interface Test<br />

(#598) for repair procedures.<br />

PASS Circuit pack detects no errors.<br />

Packet Interface Test (#598)<br />

This test checks the circuit pack’s packet bus interface. Data is sent through the bus and back to<br />

itself. If the data received is consistent with the data sent, the test passes. The test does not run<br />

if the specified PN’s packet bus has a minor alarm or is out of service.<br />

This test runs on the following maintenance objects:<br />

● ATM-EI (Expansion Interface Circuit Pack),<br />

● ATM-TRK (Circuit Emulation Service Circuit Pack)<br />

● CLAN-BD (Control LAN Circuit Pack)<br />

● VAL-BD (Voice Announcements over LAN Circuit Pack)<br />
