1. If using the Web Interface:<br />

a. From the Web interface’s <strong>Server</strong> section, select<br />

View Summary Status and verify that both servers are active.<br />

b. To distinguish the cause, examine the trace logs for Interarbiter<br />

messages with timestamps shortly before to shortly after the loss of<br />

heartbeat by<br />

1. Selecting the View System Logs diagnostic and<br />

Logmanager Debug trace<br />

2. Specifying the Event Range for the appropriate time frame<br />

3. Matching the Interarb pattern<br />

c. Depending on the cause, continue with either Step 3 or Step 4.<br />

2. If using the Linux command line:<br />

a. Enter server and verify that both servers are active.<br />

b. To distinguish the cause, examine the trace logs for Interarbiter<br />

messages with timestamps shortly before to shortly after the loss of<br />

heartbeat by entering logv -t ts<br />

c. Depending on the cause, continue with either Step 3 or Step 4.<br />
