Minor Alarm Inquiry Test (#143)<br />

The Minor Alarm Inquiry test determines if the received DS1 bit error rate is greater than<br />

1/1,000,000 and less than 1/1000.<br />

Every trunk or port on the DS1 board is kept in the in-service state after the Minor Alarm is<br />

confirmed. The Minor Alarm Inquiry test runs every 10 minutes until the Minor Alarm is cleared.<br />

This test is run on the following maintenance objects:<br />

● DS1-BD (DS1 Interface Circuit Pack)<br />

● MAPD-BD (MAPD Interface Circuit Pack)<br />

● MG-DS1 (DS1 Interface Media Module)<br />

● UDS1-BD (UDS1 Interface Circuit Pack)<br />

1. Retry the command at 1-minute intervals up to 5 times.<br />

2000 ABORT Response to the test was not received within the allowed time. This may<br />

be due to hyperactivity.<br />

2. Check for Error Type 1538 for this DS1 board. If Error Type 1538<br />

appears in the error log for this board, see Hyperactive DS1/UDS1<br />

Interface Circuit Pack/Media Module for the repair procedures.<br />

Otherwise, retry the test at 1-minute intervals up to 5 times.<br />

2100 ABORT Could not allocate the necessary system resources to run this test.<br />
