Syntax: testdupboard [-s | -l] | [-t arg] | [-?]<br />

Argument Description<br />

none Performs the Read Error Register Test.<br />

Read Error Register Test<br />

DAJ1/DAL1/DAL2 (Duplication Memory Board)<br />

-s Short test. Performs the Read Error Register Test. This is also the default option<br />

-l Performs the Read Error Register Test and the Duplication Memory Board Local<br />

Loop Test<br />

-t arg Specific test to perform. The values for arg are:<br />

● read_err_reg to run the Read Error Register Test<br />

● localloop to run the Duplication Memory Board Local Loop Test<br />

-? Display the usage statement.<br />

The following errors may occur:<br />

1 Requested tests must be run on a busied out, standby server. Use the<br />

server command to busyout a server.<br />

3 Failed to create socket<br />

Command could not allocate a system resource. Wait a minute, then try again.<br />

4 Failed to connect to SME<br />

Command could not connect to the server. Verify that both the <strong>Server</strong><br />

Maintenance Engine (SME) and Communication Manager are UP by entering<br />

the command statapp on the server.<br />

5 Failed to send request to SME<br />

Request could not be sent to the server. Verify that both the <strong>Server</strong> Maintenance<br />

Engine (SME) and Communication Manager are UP by entering the command<br />

statapp on the server.<br />

6 Failed to receive response from SME<br />

The test did not receive a response from the server. Verify that both the <strong>Server</strong><br />

Maintenance Engine (SME) and Communication Manager are UP a by entering<br />

the command statapp on the server.<br />

The Read Error Register test queries three registers, then clears them. The registers are:<br />

● Optical line receiver’s CRC error register<br />

CRC errors indicate problems with the optical interface between the active and standby<br />

servers.<br />
