Relationship between Stress and Job Performance among Secondary
School Teachers

This study examines occupational stress and job performance among secondary
school teachers. A survey method using self-administered questionnaire is adopted to
gather data from 262 respondents using random sampling technique. A set of
questionnaire consisted of 10 items measure occupational stress while 6 items
measure job performance. Using “Statistical Package of the Social Sciences” (SPSS)
25.0, min, frequency and percentage are used to measure levels of job performance.
Statistical inferential including correlation and t-test are used to analyze the
relationship between occupational stress and performance and the differences of
performance levels in terms of gender.
