Willingness to Contribute (WTC): Case Study of Coastal Erosion in Kuala

Coastal erosion is one of the most pressing issues that occur in Kuala Nerus,
Terengganu. The study was conducted to see the Kuala Nerus population's willingness
to contribute (WTC) to conservation of the affected coast due to erosion. A total of
100 samples were randomly selected from residents of Kuala Nerus has been
interviewed to assist this study. The method used in this study is the Contingent
Valuation Method (CVM) to study and analyze willingness to contribute (WTC) in the
Kuala Nerus residents on the coastal conservation. Based on the studies, we find that
the majority of the population are willing to contribute their energy on the coastal
conservation. Mean for the WTC is 3.28 days per month which is highly appreciated
by the residents of Kuala Nerus.
