The objectives of this paper is to study the secondary port potential growth at Northern
Region, Peninsular Malaysia by analyzing the most selected criteria that involved. A total
of 5 respondents were selected as the sample of the study and the data was analyze
using the Analytical Hierarchy Process and Evidential Reasoning were used in this study
by considering seven criteria, namely: 1) Port Size, 2) Infrastructure and Facilities, 3)
Capacity of Cargo Handled, 4) Logistic Services, 5) Vessel Size, 6) Vessel Traffic, and 7)
Distribution Function. A case study is selected in the secondary port at Northern Corridor
Economic Region (NCER), 1) Lumut Port, Perak 2) Tanjung Lembung, Langkawi 3) Teluk
Ewa, Langkawi.
