Financial literacy has become an essential skill for people to manage their financial affairs.<br />

The objectives of this study are; to examine the level of financial literacy among<br />

undergraduate students, and to determine the relationship between financial literacy and<br />

students’ demographic characteristics, such as gender, age, program of study and few<br />

others. In addition, this study will compare between students’ perception of financial<br />

literacy and their actual demonstrated level of financial literacy. This study will utilize selfadministered<br />

questionnaire survey, which will be conducted among 300 undergraduate<br />

students at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. The collected data will be analysed using<br />

SPSS software. The findings from this study are expected to be able to reveal the factors<br />

influencing financial literacy among the undergraduate students.<br />
