The Impact of the Influx Foreign Workers on the Productivity Services Sector
in Asean 5 Countries.

This study aims to analyse the factors that affect the productivity of the service sector in
the ASEAN5 country and analyse comparison between Malaysia with ASEAN 5 country in
effect the entry of foreign workers. The analysis of this study using panel data from 2006
to 2015 covering ASEAN5 country. The results of this study found that only locals labour
and foreign direct investment affect the productivity of the service sector. Meanwhile,
Malaysia had a positive impact due to the influx of foreign workers on the productivity of
the service sector than in Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines.
